Setting
If the ball is going over your head and out of reach to pass there is an option to set it, or overhead pass it. This is also the move that sets up the hitters for the attack. When setting it is important to make sure that your fingers are relaxed and that they all make contact with the ball at once. To start align your forehead with the incoming ball. Put your hands with palms up, and fingers in a bowl shape over your forehead aligned with the ball. When you make contact with the ball give with it a little by bending your elbows slightly but most of the shock being absorbed by your wrists. Quickly straighten your elbows and flick your wrists up to spring it back up to the designated position.
